The Boundary Hotel

If you’re looking for a gorgeous get away in London and you don’t want to stay too close to the busy commuters try out the Boundary hotel. Designed by Terence Conran and his wife Vicki with a little help from several prestigious names. The hotel in the kooky area of Shoreditch, East London opened just last year. I’m currently designing a hotel so I took the opportunity to get a closer look. I was only able to go into two of the suites as the others were occupied. The Vicki Conran suite had a fresh beachy feel and the bedroom was on a mezzanine level. The ideal layout for a London flat. There were so many details, particularly in the Sir David Tang suite that were so easy to miss and yet made such a difference once I had noticed it. Intricate features such as hand embroidered appliques of birds and flowerswhich floated on the surface of the wallpaper and door handles shaped like golden hands gave the room an excellent sense of character. Each room was completely different to the last.
